Emma Sneddon

    Hello! My name is Emma Sneddon and I am so excited to be teaching at First Friends in the FRSD Preschool Classroom! I am passionate about contributing to the educational and emotional development of children, and strive to foster a supportive environment that nurtures learning and curiosity.

    I have known forever that being a teacher of young children was my passion, I have always enjoyed being around kids and watching them learn and grow. I graduated from Rowan University in 2022 with a degree in Early Childhood Education, with a dual major in Liberal Studies. While there I gained extensive knowledge in child development, classroom management, and curriculum and instruction. Along with those, I have acquired a deep understanding of social emotional learning and creating safe and inclusive spaces. After graduating, I was able to spend time teaching multiple grades in various school districts. I can’t wait to get started this year in Preschool!

    In my class I hope to continuously promote kindness and respect for oneself and others. I aim to cultivate a nurturing and safe learning environment where students feel comfortable and are excited to arrive at school every day. My classroom will have a large focus on acceptance and inclusivity, all children will feel valued and included.
