Lindsay Dilginis
Pre-K
My name is Lindsay Dilginis. I am pleased to be First Friends Child Development Center Head Teacher for my third year. I graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor’s of science degree in human development and family studies. I have always had a passion for early childhood education therefore much of my focus for my degree was in child development. I received an internship at The Hort Woods Child Care Center working daily with the children and staff. This provided me the opportunity to gain hands on experience as a preschool teacher. In addition, I obtained extensive experience in curriculum writing and the assessment of children. I participated in parent conferences and built strong relationship with families.
All the experience I received from past opportunities in early childhood and my previous years teaching at this center has prepared me for my role. In my role as Head Teacher I will work with all our students in the center as well as lead teaching the The Doves class, full days for five days per week. At the same time I will be supporting staff to keep our whole program engaging with active learning based on The Creative Curriculum. This will bring consistency to the curriculum across all age groups at our center creating meaningful learning activities. I will use my education to bring knowledge in the best practices in Early Childhood Education to our center and provide a warm and safe environment for your children. I am passionate about early childhood education, administration and thankful for this opportunity to continue my life work.
I am excited to teach and watch your children grow!
